Amy Winehouse was a brilliant and talented singer who was thrust into the limelight and unable to cope with the tangential affects of her celebrity status. The movie follows her life and career, until she tragically died at the age of young age of 27, falling victim to drugs and alcohol and the pressures of fame. The music in the film is awesome, and the movie won over 30 awards, including the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.
WHY I LOVE THIS MOVIE:
Amy’s life was far to short, but she was incredibly talented and left the world with the gift of her voice and songs. With the movie her story can be preserved, and hopefully others can learn from her struggles and mistakes.
